A couple of nice personal things for March: I am going to get a new human nephew in the middle of 2026, so we had a little celebration of his imminent arrival, and I went to the aquarium to celebrate the second birthday of my already here human nephew. Bristol Aquarium is just the right size for little ones, but I will admit that I probably had more fun than he did. Turtles!

What I’ve been working on
I don’t often take on non-fiction, but I made an exception with the proofread of the memoir of a notable musician. The rest of my March projects would take me into April. One was another memoir – this time a tale of a long career in education. My copy-edits were of a rural espionage thriller and the second novel in a series about modern vampires.
What I read for fun
I’ve been meaning to read Leigh Bardugo’s Ninth House for some time, and I finally managed it when it came up as a book club pick. It’s dark and complex, and I enjoyed being absorbed in the world and the pacing gradually increasing. There’s a twist at the end that took me by surprise, and I’m very rarely surprised anymore!
Looking ahead
I am hoping to debut my new logo at the end of April. I’m quite excited.
